The Bronxville Board of Education will hold a public hearing Tuesday on the district’s proposed 2026-27 District Wide Safety Plan before voting on whether to adopt the plan.
The hearing is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. July 7 in the Auditorium Lobby at Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Road. The board is expected to vote on the plan during the same reorganization meeting.
The annual plan covers safety procedures for Bronxville Elementary School, Bronxville Middle School and Bronxville High School and is required under New York education law.
The draft addresses emergency response, crisis intervention, staff and student safety training, and coordination with local and county agencies. The District Wide Health & Safety Committee reviewed the proposal in April, and the district opened a 30-day public comment period in June.
Residents who cannot attend can submit comments to District Clerk Connie Lourentzatos through the district’s eGovernance portal or by calling 914-395-0500, ext. 1316.
Once approved, the plan will be filed with the New York State Education Department. Building-level emergency response plans will remain confidential under state law.
