It was a busy night for the Scarsdale Planning Board, which gave the green light to four residential projects while sending four others back for more review.
At its July 13 meeting, the board unanimously approved plans for projects at 17 Highland Way, 30 Farragut Road, 210 Fox Meadow Road, and 189 Heathcote Road. Each passed on a 5-0 vote with conditions, clearing the way for the homeowners and developers to move closer to obtaining building permits.
The approved projects include two home demolitions and rebuilds, a home addition with driveway improvements, and an amended site plan. Several required Planning Board review because they involve work near protected property buffers or exceed the village's site disturbance limits.
Not everyone got the go-ahead.
The board continued four applications to its Aug. 5 meeting, including proposals for new homes at 42 Brewster Road and 64 Lincoln Road, a retaining wall at 8 Sylvan Road, and a new home at 16 Cooper Road. Some of those projects were also referred to the Board of Architectural Review and the Zoning Board of Appeals for additional review.
A separate subdivision proposal at 19 Woodland Place remained unresolved, with no vote or future hearing date announced.
Because the Planning Board meets just once a month during the summer, applicants whose projects were continued will have to wait until Aug. 5 for their next opportunity.
