Scarsdale police are investigating the death of a person found at a Butler Road home Tuesday morning, July 7.
Det. Lt. Dinis Castro said the cause and manner of death have not been determined and are pending an examination by the Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Westchester County Police Forensic Investigations Unit is assisting Scarsdale detectives with the investigation.
Police have not identified the person who died or released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death. The department said there is no information indicating a threat to the public.
“The Scarsdale Police Department extends its condolences to the family and loved ones during this difficult time,” Castro said in a statement.
The investigation remains active. Police said more information will be released when it becomes available.
