Westchester County voters can cast ballots starting Saturday, Oct. 24, two weeks before the Nov. 3 general election.
The nine-day early voting period runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, at 25 sites across the county, according to the Westchester County Board of Elections. Registered voters may use any of the 25 locations regardless of where they live. Westchester County Government announced the dates on Oct. 9, directing residents to the Board of Elections for details.
For Bronxville, Scarsdale and Eastchester residents, the nearest designated site is the Eastchester Public Library at 11 Oakridge Place in Eastchester, according to Scarsdale10583.com. No site within the villages of Bronxville or Scarsdale appears on the county's list.
Hours vary by day. Saturdays and Sundays — Oct. 24, Oct. 25, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 — run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Monday, Oct. 26, Wednesday, Oct. 28, and Friday, Oct. 30, sites are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Thursday, Oct. 29, run noon to 8 p.m.
The county noted the site list is subject to change. One swap has already been made: St. Ann's School at 16 Elizabeth Street in Ossining replaced the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center. Other sites span locations in Croton-on-Hudson, Greenburgh, Hastings-on-Hudson, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Mt. Kisco, Valhalla, Peekskill, Rye, White Plains, Yonkers and elsewhere.
Registration deadline
Oct. 24 is also the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 3 general election. Mail-in registration applications must reach the Board of Elections by that date. Voters who have not yet registered can complete an affidavit ballot form in person at any early voting site on Oct. 24, but the application must be received by the Board of Elections no later than that day to count.
The Westchester County Board of Legislators urged residents on Oct. 5 not to wait, noting that registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Oct. 24.
