Scarsdale drivers should plan alternate routes on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31, as the village restricts access on streets in four areas for Halloween parades and trick-or-treating.

The Village of Scarsdale announced it will limit vehicle access on more than a dozen streets across Fox Meadow, the Village Center, Greenacres and East Heathcote, according to a notice from the Village Manager's Office. Neighborhood associations coordinated the closures with the Scarsdale Police Department.

Barricades will go up during each closure window to manage vehicle access and keep trick-or-treaters safe. Streets in affected areas will remain open to local residents. Police personnel will monitor the closures and assist with traffic control where necessary.
