Scarsdale's boys and girls cross country teams swept the League D championships on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

It was the first time since 2024 that both squads won league titles in the same season, according to Scarsdale10583.com.

Sophomore Henry Lorch led the boys' charge, finishing first overall to claim the individual League D title. Scarsdale runners also placed second, third and fifth in the race, building a 13-point cushion over second-place Mamaroneck. Freshman Thomas Chadie, running as Scarsdale's fifth scorer, finished 12th to seal the team victory.

The girls followed with an even more dominant showing. Adriana Pettinelli won the race, and freshman Parvati Dabral crossed the finish line just 0.2 seconds behind her. Scarsdale runners then took fourth, fifth and sixth to complete a 25-point win over Mamaroneck.

The league meet featured four teams: Scarsdale, Mamaroneck, Port Chester and Ossining.

Pettinelli kept rolling at the Westchester County championships on Saturday, Oct. 24, where she won the individual county title in 17:15.8, according to lohud.com.

She cut more than 14 seconds off her time from the 2025 county meet, where she had finished second. Lorch placed eighth at the county meet in 16:02.8, and Dabral finished eighth on the girls side in 18:29.4.

The Scarsdale girls placed third as a team at the county championships, behind John Jay-Cross River and Bronxville. Eastchester finished fourth among 23 scoring teams.

Both Scarsdale teams now turn their attention to championship season. The Section 1 championships, which serve as the qualifier for the state meet, are scheduled for Nov. 7, according to lohud.com.
