A new-construction home at 12 Burgess Road in Scarsdale's Murray Hill neighborhood sold for $8.75 million on Wednesday, July 22, topping a week in which 15 homes closed across Scarsdale and Edgemont.
The sale marks a sharp jump from the prior week's high of $5.45 million at 18 Richbell Road. The home is the work of KOSL Building, a Scarsdale-based custom luxury builder that also listed the property through its brokerage arm, KOSL Realty.
Built in 2025 on a 1.06-acre lot, the modernized colonial features 10-foot first-floor ceilings, a three-car heated garage, an elevator, a pool with spa and cabana, a walk-through wine cellar, a custom theater, and a full gym with sauna. Annual property taxes run $73,076.
The property was listed Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at $8.75 million and went pending Monday, Sept. 22, 2025. It closed at full asking price nearly two years after hitting the market, a timeline consistent with construction completing after the initial listing.
The prior weekly roundup, published Thursday, July 16, reported 10 closings with a top sale of $5.45 million. This week's 15 transactions and higher ceiling mark an uptick, though weekly closing counts reflect contracts signed months earlier and fluctuate.
Four other sales topped $3 million during the week ending Thursday, July 23, according to the weekly roundup published by Sharon Higgins on Scarsdale10583.com:
- 20 Oxford Road — $4,480,000 (taxes: $68,761)
