Cookies from Baked After Midnight, a Mamaroneck bakery, are stocked at Slave to the Grind on Pondfield Road in Bronxville.

Gianna Khader, owner and founder of Baked After Midnight, launched the cookie business in 2019.

News 12 Westchester profiled Khader on Monday, Sept. 7, as part of its "Made in the Hudson Valley" series, detailing how the business grew from a weekend baking hobby into a wholesale operation with products at several Westchester shops.

"It slowly grew into wholesale. I had a few friends that were like, 'Let's put your cookies in our shop,'" Khader told News 12. "That was so cool, and then it just kind of grew from there."

Slave to the Grind, the coffeehouse at 58 Pondfield Rd. that Carol Marshall founded in 1993, is one of the Westchester locations carrying the cookies. The shop has served Bronxville for more than 30 years, billing itself as "Westchester's 1st Coffee Bar."

Other wholesale accounts include The Sailhouse in Tarrytown, Mandy Bean Specialty Coffee in Yonkers and select Ralph's Italian Ices locations in Westchester County, according to the News 12 report.

The cookie lineup features classic flavors like chocolate chip alongside specialty options such as Cosmic Brownie and Dubai Chocolate. Khader also fills custom orders for events including bridal showers and birthday parties, News 12 reported.

Cookies can be ordered online at bakedaftermidnight.com. Slave to the Grind is open at 58 Pondfield Rd. in Bronxville.
