Scarsdale Village has a new spot for high-end facials. Esthetician Bernadette Rousseau opened Basilica Studios at 7 Dunwoodie Street in April 2026, bringing what she calls a "Manhattan-style" facial experience to the Village Center after moving to Westchester from New York City.

"Being a Westchester resident, I was looking for a facialist-led space that was close to home," Rousseau told Westchester Magazine in a profile published Wednesday, July 23. "After years of searching, I knew I wasn't the only person in Westchester who must be feeling this way, and I decided to fill the void for what I was looking for myself."

The appointment-only studio offers custom facials in 60- or 90-minute sessions, buccal massage facials, microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microcurrent treatments. Rousseau said the buccal massage, an advanced intraoral technique that targets jaw tension and fine lines, has become one of Basilica's most popular services. She recommends it for clients dealing with TMJ or chronic headaches.

Basilica also stocks skincare lines Rousseau said are hard to find locally: Young Goose, Goodweather, Monastery, Pavise, and Szia. Products are available in-studio and through the shop at basilicastudios.com.

Rousseau chose Scarsdale for its walkable downtown and its train access to Grand Central, noting that many of her clients are local parents who want a quality treatment without a trip into the city. The studio operates on a no-gratuity policy, which Rousseau said reflects her belief that treatments should feel like care, not transactions.
