Bronxville's Sidewalk Sale on Sept. 26, opens a three-event fall stretch organized by the Eastchester, Bronxville, and Tuckahoe 250th National Anniversary Committee, the tri-town group coordinating a year of celebrations for America's 250th birthday.

The committee formed to bring Eastchester, Bronxville and Tuckahoe together for events and volunteer opportunities throughout 2026. Its website lists ways to get involved and donate.

Three fall dates are set:

  • Saturday, Sept. 26 – Sunday, Sept. 27: Bronxville Sidewalk Sale
  • Sunday, Oct. 11: Octoberfest in Bronxville
  • Saturday, Nov. 28: Small Business Saturday in Bronxville

Residents looking for something to do before then can join the committee's ongoing "Great Flag-Enger Hunt."

The project invites people to search their homes, attics and basements for historic American flags with a story to tell. Anyone who finds one can contact Patrice Kane to share its history.

The committee has already put on several summer events. Its biggest was America's Birthday Parade on July 11, which stepped off from Immaculate Conception School and ended at Lake Isle Country Club with a community BBQ, live music and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Co-Grand Marshals were Michael Grillo, known locally as "General George Washington," and the Forliano family on behalf of Dick Forliano, honored posthumously.

The Eastchester Veterans Association co-produced the parade, with New York-Presbyterian Westchester as grand sponsor, the Yonkers Times reported.

Bronxville Elementary School also held a 250th anniversary parade on June 4, with Village of Bronxville Mayor Mary Marvin as grand marshal, according to the school district.

The Bronxville Pops Concert Band ran three Wednesday-evening concerts in July at the Bronxville School under the theme "Music of America."

Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28 is the last confirmed fall date on the committee's calendar.
