Bronxville's defending Class C state champion football team hosts Valhalla at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Chambers Field, capping Homecoming Week with varsity games under the lights.
The Broncos (2-1, 2-0 Section 1 Class C) shut out Dobbs Ferry 28-0 in their most recent game after opening the season with a loss to Class B Averill Park. Valhalla enters at 3-1, according to the Homecoming Week schedule published by MyHometownBronxville.com.
Head coach Patsy Manganelli, the 2025 New York State Head Football Coach of the Year, leads a 32-player roster with 18 seniors. Quarterback Theo McMurray and lineman Henry Scholes earned spots on LoHud's Super 11 list in August. Three more Broncos made the preseason watch list.
On Dec. 6, 2025, Bronxville beat Chenango Forks 42-25 at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse to finish 12-0 and claim the program's state title, according to lohud.
Senior co-captain Anton Schmidt described the team's mindset in a Sept. 16 season preview on MyHometownBronxville.com: "We practice how we play … and that's part of the reason why we've seen so much success recently."
Traditional sports banners from each varsity team went up on the Bronxville High School front lawn ahead of Homecoming Week. A Community Food Truck Night on Meadow Avenue runs Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. A pep rally follows at halftime of the varsity girls' soccer game against Rye Neck on Saturday, which kicks off at 2 p.m.

Field hockey (5-2, ranked No. 1 in Class C) plays Albertus Magnus at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1. Coach Jacquelyn Frawley's squad has lost only to Lakeland and Yorktown, both ranked among the top 10 in Section 1.
Boys' soccer (3-4) faces Albertus Magnus at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2. Girls' soccer (2-3) hosts Rye Neck at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Bronxville-Tuckahoe swim and dive team meets Rye-Blind Brook-Rye Neck at Sarah Lawrence College on Thursday, Oct. 1. Girls' tennis hosts Rye Neck at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, on the Village Courts, with the Section 1 Individual Tournament beginning Saturday, Oct. 10.
Volleyball, in its inaugural varsity season with 24 players, travels to Blind Brook on Friday, Oct. 2.
Both cross country teams are rolling. The girls, defending Class C state champions, won the Section 1 Conference 3 Extravaganza at Woodlands High School. The boys finished second, three points behind rival Irvington.
Both squads next race at the Section 1 League Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
After Homecoming, the football team travels to Tuckahoe at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, then returns home to face Pleasantville at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.
