The Rotary Club of Bronxville will hold its annual gala on Friday, Oct. 9, at Siwanoy Country Club to raise money for a children's hospital treating young war victims in Ukraine.

Tickets are $300 per person for the event, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at 351 Pondfield Road. Proceeds go to the Western Ukrainian Children's Hospital Center in Lviv, which treats children from across the country affected by the ongoing conflict, according to the event listing on myHometown Bronxville.

The hospital has taken on patients from across Ukraine because of hostilities in the east. Many of the children it serves are victims of the war, the listing states.

Ken Hanau will receive the club's Community Service Award at the gala.

The Rotary Club, led by President Susan Johnson, has used its annual gala to spotlight a different cause each year. The 2025 gala at Siwanoy benefited Veterans Rebuilding Life and honored Dr. George Unis, an orthopedic surgeon, Army veteran and 50-year Bronxville resident. In 2024, the club raised funds for 914United, a nonprofit serving at-risk youth.

The 2023 gala netted more than $45,000 for Neighbors Link.

Residents can purchase tickets online at bronxvillerotary.com or mail a check to Bronxville Rotary Foundation, c/o Valon Nikci, Treasurer, 141 Parkway Rd., Suite 28, Bronxville, NY 10708.
