Bronxville football coach Patsy Manganelli has been named the New York Giants' Lou Rettino High School Coach of the Week, bringing a $2,000 grant to the Broncos' football program.

The Giants Foundation and Gatorade selected Manganelli for the Week 8 honor after Bronxville routed Pleasantville 35-7 on Oct. 17, the Broncos' fifth straight win. Pleasantville entered the game at 5-1 with a five-game winning streak of its own, according to the Giants' announcement. Bronxville improved to 5-1 overall and has outscored opponents 236-48 this season.

The Bronxville School district said Manganelli will also receive a certificate signed by Giants head coach John Harbaugh and will be honored at a postseason dinner and a 2027 preseason home game. Dates for both events have not been announced.

Each week during the high school football season, the Giants select one area head coach for the award, named in memory of former Union High School (N.J.) coach Lou Rettino.

"I am incredibly honored to receive the New York Giants Coach of the Week award, but this recognition is truly a reflection of our entire program," Manganelli said in the Giants' announcement. He credited his coaching staff, the Bronxville Board of Education and the community, and thanked his wife Chrissy and daughters Amelia and Leah for their support.

Manganelli, a physical education and health teacher at Bronxville High School, has led the program since 2017. He guided the Broncos to a 12-0 record and the New York Class C State Championship in 2025, the program's first state title in 15 years. The Giants described him as the 2025 New York State Class C Head Football Coach of the Year, while the Bronxville School district called the honor the 2025 New York State Head Football Coach of the Year.

The Broncos, 5-0 in league play and ranked third in Section 1 B/C/D according to MaxPreps, travel to Haldane on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
