Residents looking for weekend plans have five events on the Bronxville and Eastchester calendar between Saturday, Aug. 8, and Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Moms Come & Dance kicks off Saturday evening at 135 Midland Ave. in Bronxville. Doors open at 7 p.m. No organizer or ticket details have been posted publicly.
The same evening, the Bookends Band appears on the Patch calendar for a 7:30 p.m. outdoor concert in the Town of Eastchester. The group, now in its 50th year, plays baby-boom-era covers with multiple lead singers and a reputation for pulling the audience into the act. T
The Bookends Band performed Aug. 5 at the Lake Isle Driving Range as part of Eastchester's free Summer Concert Series; residents should check the town's website before heading out Saturday.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, two public meetings are scheduled at the Town of Eastchester. The Eastchester Library Board of Trustees meets at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Eastchester Town Board at 7:30 p.m. No agenda for either session has been posted on the town's website as of Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The week closes with the Garth Road Summer Concert on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 7:30 p.m., featuring the Live for the Music Band. Like the Lake Isle series, the Garth Road concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets.
