The Eastchester school board approved updated traffic and parking lot patterns at three campuses Wednesday, July 29, changing how parents, students, and staff will move through drop-off and pick-up zones when the 2026-27 school year begins in September.

The new patterns cover Eastchester High School, Waverly School, and Greenvale School. All three were approved as consent-agenda action items at a special board meeting, according to the district's BoardDocs agenda.

A fourth campus, Anne Hutchinson School, appeared on the same agenda as an "Information" item rather than an action item. That means the board received a presentation on the proposed Anne Hutchinson traffic plan but did not formally vote to approve it. Whether that plan requires a future vote or will be implemented administratively remains unclear.

No specifics have been released. The agenda does not describe the changes at any campus — no details on lane directions, new one-way routes, or revised queuing areas are publicly available.

Board President Jacqueline DiMarco, elected at the July 14 reorganization meeting, presided over the special session. The board also approved the 2026-27 Tax Warrant Resolution, special education recommendations, disposal of obsolete technology equipment, disposal of obsolete facilities vehicles and equipment, and amended meeting dates for the coming school year.

Parents looking for details on the new traffic patterns can contact the Eastchester UFSD at 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester, NY 10709. The board's next scheduled meetings are a retreat on Wednesday, August 26, and a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 15.
