The Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners approved $485,097.68 in bills and vouchers at its regular monthly meeting Thursday, Aug. 13, at Eastchester Town Hall.

All five commissioners were present.

The board, chaired by Anthony J. Lore Sr., convened in executive session at 7 p.m. before opening the public session at 7:15 p.m. in the Town Hall courtroom at 40 Mill Road. Commissioners Tony Cerasi, Paul J. Carlo, Luke Yankowski and Paul M. Ranellone joined Lore on the dais.

The voucher authorization was the sole formal action item on the posted agenda. The board also heard reports from Fire Chief Brian Tween, Treasurer Jamie Hedstrom and Secretary Marissa Isang Smith, along with comments from the firefighters' union (IAFF Local 916), the public and the commissioners themselves.

The meeting was the board's first since summer recess. The session was broadcast live on Cablevision Channel 19 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40.

The fire district, a separate unit of government with the same boundaries as the Town of Eastchester, provides fire protection and emergency medical services to Eastchester, Bronxville and Tuckahoe through five firehouses. Public comment at board meetings is limited to three minutes per speaker under a policy adopted Sept. 29, 2025.

Detailed minutes from the Aug. 13 session had not yet appeared on the district's Agenda Center as of Friday, Aug. 14.

The next regular meeting is Thursday, Sept. 10, at Town Hall, 40 Mill Road, Eastchester. The 2026 Fire District Election is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8, with polls open 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
