The Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners meets Thursday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Eastchester Town Hall courtroom at 40 Mill Road.
The meeting is open to the public.
The five-member elected board oversees the fire district's budget, personnel decisions and operational policies for a district that provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the Town of Eastchester and the Villages of Bronxville and Tuckahoe.
No agenda had been posted for the August session as of Aug. 11. One potential topic: a new Pierce fire engine, designated EFD-29, had a tentative completion date of Aug. 3, according to production updates on the district's website. Whether the delivery will come before the board is not confirmed.
The board is chaired by Anthony Lore, whose term expires in December 2026. Vice Chairman Tony Cerasi, Paul Carlo, Luke Yankowski and Paul Ranellone round out the panel. All five serve without compensation, elected to staggered five-year terms by fire district voters each December.
An executive session may precede the public portion of the meeting. Agendas, when posted, are available at eastchesternyfd.gov, and the district says minutes are published within two weeks of each session.
Past meetings are recorded and posted to the district's YouTube channel for residents who cannot attend in person. Residents with questions can contact the administrative office at 914-793-6402 or [email protected].
