Two free Westchester Band concerts and a three-day sidewalk sale give Scarsdale residents plenty of reasons to head into the village over the next two weeks.

The Westchester Band performs at Chase Park, 32 Chase Rd., on Thursday, July 30, at 8 p.m. A second concert follows Thursday, August 6, at the same time and location. Both are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, according to the village's online calendar.

The concerts are part of a recurring Thursday-evening summer series at Chase Park. The Westchester Band performed at the Scarsdale Pool Complex on Wednesday, July 2, accompanying the village's annual fireworks display.

Sidewalk Sale opens July 30

The same day the band returns to Chase Park, the Scarsdale Business Alliance opens its annual Summer Sidewalk Sale in the Village Center. The three-day event runs Thursday, July 30, through Saturday, August 1, rain or shine.

Local merchants and visiting vendors will offer outdoor shopping and deals around Boniface Circle. On Saturday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the sale adds free family activities including music and children's entertainment, according to a press release from the Village Manager's Office issued Wednesday, July 23.

Boniface Circle will be closed to through traffic all three days. Drivers can park at Woodland Place, Christie Place Public Garage at 1 Christie Place, or Christie Place Commuter Garage at 64 East Parkway after 11 a.m. More details are available here.
