Meals on Wheels of Scarsdale needs volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in the village.
Wednesday mornings are the hardest to fill.
Drivers pick up prepared meals at Scarsdale Congregational Church between 9:30 and 11 a.m. on weekdays and deliver to four to eight clients at their homes, according to a Patch volunteer roundup listing opportunities across the Lower Hudson Valley.
A typical shift runs 30 to 60 minutes.
Volunteers must be at least 18 and hold a valid driver's license. Teens aged 14 to 17 can ride along as part of an adult driver's team.
Signing up requires two steps: registering interest on the Volunteer New York! platform and completing a separate application directly with Meals on Wheels of Scarsdale. The schedule is listed as flexible, with shifts available on weekdays during the morning pickup window.
