Drivers on Kent Road, Innes Road, Mamaroneck Road, and Hutchinson Avenue will need alternate routes beginning in late July as the Village of Scarsdale launches its 2026 summer road paving program.
The Village Engineering Department announced Monday, July 20, that road milling, surface preparation, and repaving will run through mid-August, weather permitting. Residents on affected streets should watch for posted parking restrictions and traffic controls throughout the work.
Streets on the schedule
Eight streets and two Village facility access areas are slated for work:
- Kent Road
- Innes Road
- Lee Road
- Hutchinson Avenue
- Barker Lane
- Mamaroneck Road (Stratton Road to Crossway)
- Black Birch Lane
- Ridgedale Road
- Weinberg Nature Center (access area)
- Boniface Water Tower (access area)
Kent Road, Innes Road, Barker Lane, and Mamaroneck Road will undergo milling and surface preparation before paving. The remaining locations are scheduled for paving only.
What residents should do
The Village is asking residents and motorists to observe all posted parking restrictions and traffic control measures to help ensure worker safety and minimize disruptions. The Engineering Department also urged drivers to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time near active work zones.
Schedule changes due to weather or unforeseen circumstances will be communicated to the community as early as possible, according to the Village's announcement.
